Replacement kessy fob

Featured Replies

Anyone know how much a new kessy fob and coding costs? "Someone" lost one of ours.

I’m gonna take a stab that it will cost anywhere between ‘Dinners in the dog’ to ‘you’re sleeping in the spare bed this month’

Yeah i dont think itll be cheap as u need fob and the spare key and cutting to key number, i reckon £150-200 approx for that and 0.7 to 1.0 time units for labour to code key to vehicle.

As a minimum it is usually advised to have your existing 2 fobs recoded. So the lost one "if" found stops working.  The actual key bit will still work however.

I was thinking more along the lines of an arm and a leg.

Check insurance policy, some have key cover.

Doesn't matter, you'll still end up in bother.  Probably if you make the mistake of telling her the price.

"Ridiculous! Why would buy a car that has expensive keys!"

£200-£300 range. Have you checked to see whether lost keys is covered by your insurance? Some policies do. If not try searching auto locksmiths who may be able to help you for good price.
