I'm on a long journey and we stopped to fill up. Soon afterwards the EPC light came on and the throttle was being limited. After restarting the car it went off. It came back a couple of times but restarting got rid of it.

 

Going on some forum posts I wasn't too worried and planned to get it to the dealer on our return

 

However things have now escalated and the orange engine light has come on and won't go. The EPC hasn't come on for a while.

 

We've got a couple of hours more driving so worried I'm.damaging the engine?

 

Could my wife have overfilled it. She does like to fill her own tank to the brim? Or bad fuel? Seems a bit of a coincidence that it started after filling.

 

What's my best plan? Do I need to stop driving urgently?

We’re you running on fumes before you filled up? Was it a mainstream filling station or an independent out in the sticks type place?

No 1/4 of a tank still in there. Was a motorway BP

It's a petrol and definitely filled with standard petrol.
