Rear back rest release

Featured Replies

On ordering a my19 Octavia noticed rear back rest release £95....it the past to lower the back seats was ALWAYS a standard fitment, now only standard on L&K versions...Skoda penny pinching again ? Any one else ordered a NEW Octavia aware of this ? Oh & week build 48 & estimated January delivery !

I noticed that on one of the brokers websites, which spec/engine have you ordered?

Is this perhaps referring not to the lowerability the back seats, but rather the facility to lower them using a lever in the boot, as well as the catch on the seat-back itself?

The £95 will be for remote folding of the rear seats using a lever in the boot rather than having to open rear passenger doors to fold seats down.

Is the OP ordering a hatchback? In 2015 the "Rear backrest release from boot" was listed as standard for estates on the SE upwards but was L&K and VRS only on hatchbacks.

Thanks for all your replies.                                                        It seems this[£95] option enables you to lower backrest from the rear [tailgate] area of car...& yes you can still lower backrest via rear doors ...all sorted & NOW about to finalise my options list for the [ALREADY] ordered car .

This was an extra in 2014 and still is now on the 2019. Not available on sport Seats though.

Loving the digital speedometer thingie

...Or an "I'll walk away if its not fitted, gratis" Extra!

Save that trick for the big guns!
