I've lost number 1 fan speed - 0 and 1 are both now off on the fan, and 2 is just that little bit too much - I miss my speed "1" :( :(

Anything obvious I should look out for - places to look / go to cure this? I assume its just electrical - but I'm hoping something is just sticking and I can sort it easily.

Shall take a look soon. Is it just a case of renewing one bit of it, or maybe the whole box? Will take a look. I know behind the glovebox, you end up staring at the fan assembly, pollen filter housing, and the bits behind/under the radio. Not sure where this bit might be - suspect it might be somewhere with wires coming out of it?

On my Renault it was a single unit, and they're not cheap. However you may be able to fix it if the clip/wire has come off.

Had the same prob on my daughters Rover , the Resistor wires burn out one by one over time . On the rover it was a resistor block that was sitting in the fan housing , held in with a couple of screws , had to take it out , Took a good one of a breakers car and replaced , if it goes again now know where to get another cheepy .
