Hmm - that's exactly what mine was like - and it was the top mount in the end! It's not that expensive - so I'd suggest chanigng it anyway if anything just to rule in/out

I’m tempted to just replace the top right mount but it will be a few days until I can get round to doing that at least

It's worth remembering what triggered the issue - axle tramp. So it's likely to be something related to supporting the engine/gearbox/shafts/suspension re rotation. EG top mount, dog bone etc...

Yeah, it does seem to me to be narrowed down to something supporting the engine or gearbox at this stage just because of the symptoms. Just wish I had a lift or engine crane to sort this out properly.

Glasgow. I’m organising with a friend who has some tools and a trolley jack so we’re going to replace the top engine mount this week.
