HELP, issues with 1.9 fabia VRS accelration

Featured Replies

Had the car around a month now, drives great and pulls through all gears well.

Yesterday however in 5th and 6th I noticed a massive juddering which caused the steering wheel to shake, and the car seemed very gutless when accelerating afterwards.

After turning the engine off and on driving the car the next day, it seemed to be fine but the problem happened again when I got up to 60-70mph (massive juddering/shaking).

I have seen posts about this issue and people are saying many things, such as boost sensor, pipes, MAF, or a damaged circuit/loom.

Any suggestions would be appreciated or if anyone has a similar issue i'd love to hear about what you've already tried!

Visual inspection of the hoses for anything obvious then use the VCDS owners map to get a scan on the car.  Will save the time and expense of guess work.

Thanks @penguin17, I found a leak on one of the pipes by the intercooler.

Think it was loosing pressure due to the pipe not being on properly and hence why it started to losepower/enter limp mode.

Seems to running fine at the moment :)

Unit 18 Automotive in Blakelands will sort it for you at a reasonable price if it is beyond your ability.

Hi guys just an update, still having issues....

the issue only really starts in 5th or 6th gear... then the car enters limp mode.

Ive noticed some moret leak towards the inter cooler despite the car having a fairly new inter cooler so I’m thinking it could be the turbo pipe boost joiner
