Testing Glow Plug Wiring

Hi,

 

i recently found 2 glow plugs to have failed having tested them with a multimeter. Unfortunately at the same time I snapped the old brittle bridge/harness. Have now replaced and spliced in the new one.

 

As it's not cold can anyone think of a way to test? Maybe with a multimeter?

 

The light comes on the dash and goes out which I guess is a good sign. I just don't wanna get to a cold morning and have a problem!

 

Octavia MK1 if that makes a difference.
