Very happy, well almost...

Featured Replies

After moving 8 months ago I began to spend a lot less time looking after my car and more time with Emma sorting the house out, couple this with the fact i'm getting married in July and funds are pretty tight.

Anyway, over the past 8 months the car has developed several niggles including a few dints, one of which happened when my car skidded down the drive and hit a car across the street (see: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/search.php?searchid=1342768).

After months of waiting and waiting and would you believe waiting my car finally had it's 30k service last week (only 1k miles over). It's had 80% of things replaced that where damaged and a:

Full service

Air Filter clean

NSF foglight (damaged 1 year ago)

Coolant pump

NSF Arch liner replaced

Water actually comes out of the rear washer ****

New wiper blades

4 new bulbs for headlights

New metal trim on accelerator pedal

Steering column rattle gone

Dashboard rattle gone

Front brakes don't squeek anymore

This weekend it's getting the LCR Front spoiler finally fitted  and a full valet. The dints in the boot will be gone by the end of the month and all that leaves me to do is get 4 new tyres and rear discs/pads which hopefully should be bought by the end of march and a new drives seat base (if anyone has a spare for sale PM me, needs to be height adjustable).

I know it may not seem like much has been done/needs doing but it's just living with the little niggles for so long has driven me to distraction and now most have gone it's brilliant, just a few more weeks and it'll be like new again!

:D

Glad you've got all those things sorted.

How was the dash rattle and stering column rattle sorted?

big list there!

I was told their is now a fix for the rear washer jet. They now have a clip to join to two pipes together.

I too has a couple of niggles that I'm slowly gettign sorted.

Steering column rattle appeared after cruise control was retro-fitted. They simply took the cover off the column, adjusted it somehow and refit it. Hey presto no more rattle.

Likewise with the dashboard rattle I assume they will of just taken it off and repositioned it or put a bit of sound deadening in there to stop the two rattling pieces touching.

Rear was wiper has been a nightmare for me. I hope they have applied this fix to my car as it's the 2nd time it's happened.

They fixed mine. 2 Days later it came off again. But this time they say the Fix should fix it.
