Hello, I’m new so please excuse me I’m advance.

 

Today I test drove a 2011 Octavia, towards the end of a 15min drive the glow plug started to flash, once I turned the ignition of and back on it disappeared. Is this something I need to be concerned about? 

 

The car has a full Skoda service history, new engine fitted 65k ago. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

It would need to be plugged into a disgnostic port to find out what, but it may be the brake light switch.

 

If you have test driven with a view to buy then the seller should put right.

So does Full Main Dealer History mean this car has had the VW Dieselgate 'Fix',  New Engine Management and a Flow Device in the Air Intake?

 

I would say yes.  It must have had if near a Official VW Group Dealership in the last 14 months or so.

So ask Skoda UK about when carried out, and how long there is left of the 24 month Trust Building Guarantee that VW / Skoda gave from the time of the Voluntary Recall.

How long ago was 65,000 miles,  & the new engine fitted.

Sounds like one to avoid unless sold with a 2 year water tight warranty and is selling for 'Much Cheapness'.
