Kenwood DNX521 DAB VW Head Unit

Featured Replies

Kenwood DNX521 DAB VW Head Unit will this fit into a 2014 skoda superb

Can't confirm it, but my guess, if anything, would be that the Superb has at least the equivalent or more space than the Octavia for the headunit

we will soon find out. thanks for your help :thumbup::thumbup:

Kenwood provide fitting kits for various vehicles. Take a look here: https://www.kenwood.eu/files/file/car/eu/DDIN/2DIN.pdf

Looks like the mk2 Octavia and Superb require different fitting kits. I don’t have a Kenwood head unit myself but I have also been looking at replacing the Columbus with one.

Cheers,

Steve

I see you posted about a wiring harness...does it fit? Did you have to buy a new fitting kit?

cheers,

Steve

  • 3 weeks later...

I’ve got this head unit fitted to my 2010 mk2, needed a wiring loom adaptor plus a canbus adaptor (for the steering wheel control and reverse information)and a new facia (from the dealer) that includes the airbag light. Fitted it all myself, my only annoyance is that if I’d got the 525 later model I wouldn’t have needed the canbus module that added another £100 to the cost!

oh and there’s a few bugs with iPod useage that kenwood have pretty much told me tough about fixing.....
