Hi all,

Introducing myself as a first time Skoda owner from Kent. I have bought a MK2 Blackline Octavia VRS CR 2.0 TDI estate as I have had to grow up due to having a child for the first time. It's is also my first foray into a diesel. Initial indications are that the is well made, faster than expected and of good road manners. I am losing sleep a bit after reading up on DPFs but I am sure that is a passing phase. I look forward  to learning more about these cars and contributing to this rather informative forum, but for now, I shall lurk in the shadows and read as many posts as I can.

A warm welcome to the Forum  !  DPFs need a good blast now and then to burn off the soot and other muck that collects.  They are not keen on lots of short journeys.
