PCP

Featured Replies

Hi

Just a question over buying a Citigo through PCP.

My daughter needs a newer car can we take the PCP finance out in our name but register car in hers?

The plan is to get the discounts then pay PCP off straight away then she will just pay us back.

She is working but has only just come back from Australia to live and has no recent credit history.

Thanks in advance

To save any problems why not take out everything in your name and once the PCP is paid off straight away just transfer the car into your daughters name.

Thanks for reply Auric would mean a second owner on log book and redoing car tax but may do this.

I am going to dealer tomorrow and will ask them the question

We took out a PCP on a CitiGo Colour addition, the car is registered to Mrs G and VWFS needed an account  with my wife name on it. The dealer mentioned you can't have the debt in someone else name.

Thanks again may have to register in wife's name first then, unless I can get £2000 off list price for cash sale

Almost £2,000 off RRP should be achievable.

An Extra Keeper really is not that much of an issue if buying a keeper, just much as buying a Ex Demonstrator or Pre Reg has a keeper extra.

Just an update she has got the finance in her name ok after all. So she is getting  a  Citigo Sel in red with spare wheel.

Hopefully she will get it next week as there is one at another dealer in the UK.

Still going to pay it off though to save on the interest charges.
