Rapid 1.2tsi Lowering

Recommended Posts

Someone local is selling lowering springs that came off a 1.2tsi rapid. They are made by V-Maxx, 35mm front and 45mm for the back.

I've never lowered a car before but have been reading up about it. Can someone who knows more about this tell me if these ride heights a suited to the rapid spaceback or am i going to have problems?

Any information i need to find out before i buy?

Any other info would be helpfull. Cheers

Coming off of this....

...And wanting to put them on to this...

Or even the fronts. Is the 16V donkey heavier than the older 8V 1.2 in that blue Sport hatchback?

The previous 1.4 16V was heavier and needed the same spring rates as the 1.6TDI (which is well heavy).

I would go to eibach online and buy the 30/30 drop for your exact model.

The H&R website doesn't differentiate between the Rapid models which makes me suspicious of using them.

@Stormchaser on here had a 1.2 fitted with the wrong springs (by his Skoda dealer), gave it a nose up attitude and dodgy high speed handling.

And look in "Rapid Projects" on here for cars that have been done.

Yep, I echo the statements above...

a few people got the wrong sprigs from skoda.

eibach differentiate for model :) easy to use website to.

I’d save up and get the right ones.

they look so much better with a 30mm drop.
