Led Interior Bulbs

Featured Replies

Has anyone used ledperf.com they sell a interior led light pack for the Mk3 that I was looking to get as I have the Skoda Interior light pack but the lights in the front and back above the seats are normal bulbs which give off a yellow light which ruins the look a bit. Is it easy to swap these bulbs for led ones for a better white light?

Pretty much it's just a matter of removing some trim (they're designed to be replaced)

€50 seems a little sleep though. You may want to identify the various bulb sizes and see if you can source them separately, cheaper

I used these from Amazon, LEDs and a trim tool removal set for less than £10.

The LEDs fit the interior housings fine, they are polarity dependant so check they are installed the right way around before putting the covers back on.

These and the majority of replacement LEDs don’t fit the Boot, Footwell, Glovebox or Underseat without trimming the ridge that runs circumferential around the middle.

yeah, well, you tend to get what you pay for, also with LEDs.. the failure rate of something which hasn't been ESD'd properly is going to be high after a few months. Consistent colour would be nice, too.

Personally, I don't see €50 as lots for a decent set which will last for some time. Again, I've heard nothing but good about hypercolor and have seen them last *years* already in other's cars. I don't trust cheap electronics much.

If you're gonna spend that sort of money, go for Osram or Philips LEDs. Usually about £10 for 2 bulbs but great quality and will last.

I got Osram from amazon, they look great.

If if you have a panoramic sunroof some (rears?) are a different size to everything else.
