Clock spring for FL?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know what the part number for the clock spring for a facelift 2011 Octavia MK2 would be? Would it be the same as the pre-facelift model as the price for the newer ones is £100+!

Thanks

There are three different versions used, it's best to check what's currently fitted as they aren't compatible with each other.

A VCDS autoscan or similar will confirm it.

Thank you. The reason I ask is that my steering wheel controls including the flappy paddles don't work. Apart from the clock spring, could it be a fuse somewhere or the steering wheel control module?

My OBD also isn't working, VCDS Lite cannot connect and my OBD reader also cannot get power from it. I checked fuses 1 + 13 in the drivers side but they're fine :(

Would this be related to this fault, maybe the steering wheel control module?

I assume the MFSW and paddles worked previously and you've not changed anything recently?

If the car still starts and things like the radio come on/off as normal with the key, then I doubt any issues with the MFSW/paddles would stop the OBD port working.

Have you checked for power on pin 16 of the OBD socket? That should always be powered although I'm not sure be which fuse.

I bought the car 2nd hand a few days ago, the previous owner said it was definitely the clock spring, but I don't see how it would be connected to the OBD port. Just thought I should look for some clarification.

I guess he isn't lying as the airbag light is also on and says 'service now' so it adds up

Thank you though, Ill do some digging into the port and see what could be up
