delayed delivery

Featured Replies

I know that this might seem a bit premature but here's the story. I ordered a brand new Skoda Karoq from a Glasgow dealership on 31/7/18 based on PCP and paid a £200 deposit. I was assured that the car would be delivered within a couple of weeks. I am now advised by the dealership that it's sitting somewhere in Germany waiting to be shipped with no shipping or arrival date available. I'm aware that some buyers have had much longer delays but nonetheless I wonder that, if at this stage, I can cancel my order and possibly look elsewhere.

I have had many Skoda's but will not buy another one due to delivery delays they never learn has been like this since 2011 excuse after excuse. I have recently purchased a Hyundai I 30N and got it within 4 weeks of ordering it and a better car in every way than the Octavia Vrs it replaced.

I've ordered a Fabia today and have been told to expect delivery by the end of January.

Ooooh what's it like?  What colour did you go for (I'm a big fan of the blue)? Performance pack?

If I could get away with a smaller car then the i30N would be top of my list.

rosietosie,

yes you can cancel that order, they can not supply the car.

No loss to them, when they get one they can sell it many times over.  Ask for the interest for the £200 they had.  7% should be about right.

Yes amazing car really special and I have the Performance Blue Performance Pack.  Skoda Octavia Vrs comes nowhere near in every department.

Seen a Perf. blue i30N this morning.  Only the 3rd I've seen on the roads.  Looked amazing, sound wasn't bad either :o:)

For balance, ordered a i30N late June, arrived Early October! Was originally expected late Aug.
