Access to alternator and its removal

Hello I need information about what is the access to the alternator in Octavia I with 1.9 90 KM from 2002. I mean is it easy to remove it only using wrenches, without levering up the car or engine. I took a look under hood, and it doesn't look terrifying, but I know some complications can happen. I saw, that I have hydraulic belt tensioner - can I loosen such tensioner without fear with a simple wrench, or is there such special manner to do that? I also saw the air conditining compressor "defending" access to alternator - is it easy to remove?
