Featured Replies

It would seem to be that they are slowly trickling through ,at long last. I await an update on Thursday with all manner of things crossed.

  • It would appear the 1.5Tsi and 2.0Tsi now have WLTP approval. So those waiting on the 1.5 should hopefully see some movement soon    https://www.adac.de/infotestrat/umwelt-und-innovation/abg

  • Same here, pick up on wednesday :-) Might have been boat buddies

  • Just got confirmed delivery date for my Superb Estate 190di 4x4! Will pick it up on Monday 19 November. Ordered in September.

Our order was placed 08/04/18 and it was bw 42 - just landed in Grimsby yesterday :-D - 272 Sportline Plus too, so they are deffo on the move.

The question needs to be asked, are they shipping these cars to various countries because the WLTP is close to completion so they are expecting imanet delivery to customers or they simply need more storage space. I hope the former is true but expect the latter unfortunately

Skoda UK told me there was no WLTP delay on the 272, and normal order/delivery process was in operation. Not sure if this was to shut me up or because it's true :-D

Where I live some already drive theirs 272 so WLTP is done for that engine ;-)

Crikey , with the way people are posting on this thread and getting their cars , or dates for cars , then I'm going to be like Billy no Mates , or Billy no Car if you like.

On its way I'm sure!

I only received an email on Saturday saying it had arrived at Emden so it moved quickly.

Fingers crossed for you

Cheers!  Weekly update tomorrow.  I have hunch we may be using the same dealer...I am looking at a 400 mile running-in drive back to central Scotland.  Slight problem that I am mega-busy at work so no idea where I am going to get two days off from...

Well thanks for that , it makes me feel a whole lot better. Not. I wonder if it’s personal with Skoda, I’ve always been nice about their products, and Jead a blameless life why pick on  me?

I was due an update today but nothing materialised.

Further update from me - rather along the theme of the other posts above.  It’s feeling like things are getting back on track and delivery waits are getting shorter.

I originally ordered (Superb hatch 1.5 petrol auto SE L Ecec) 1st / 2nd week of August.  At that point best estimate was March 2019 delivery.  I was then told a ‘provisional build week of w/c 25 November.  Today’s update was ‘confirmed’ build week commencing 4th November and that I should be able to collect the car from the Dealer ‘mid December’.

If I’d been advised of a 4 month delivery schedule from day 1 I’d have been happy and relaxed.  The roller coaster created by having to assume a 7 month delivery period but not really knowing has added a bit of stress!

I have to give back my company car at the end of November and I had just bitten the bullet and paid over £2K to hire a car until late March 19 ..... this update allowed me to change my hire car booking and save lots of cash.  Rather relieved!

That is a long way.  I'm secretly looking forward to it, don't tell my wife :giggle:

Anyone have any news on 190 4x4's

thats my model, ordered aug, in uk at dealer, pickup in 2 weeks

Waited for an update. Thursday , none arrived , so rang the dealer today, but apparently no movement on my car at all. Patiently waiting is wearing patent,y thin it has to be said. The trouble is for value for money ,space ,etc there isn't an equivalent, I certainly am not paying for a Passat, and do not not under any circumstances want a Mondeo, so I suppose if I want a Superb I'm going to have to wait.

Agreed James.  It does rather take the pressure off Skoda and the dealers when there’s no decent competitor at the price.

Just had a new update from my dealer, car is status 40, which apparently means its in the UK and should be here 'any time', next couple of weeks at the most I'm hoping. Considering I only ordered in late August that's not too bad.

Just by way of an update ,the dealer rang me today as she aid she would , apparently ,having spoken to Vehicle Supply, I am no further forward,or to quote Captain Bkackadder, we have made as much progress as an asthmatic ant carrying some heavy shopping.  I'm told its to do with WLTP, etc , whatever else this wretched system  is supposed to do,, it's causing great delay and a high degree of impatience.

The wait goes on.

Ordered my sel 1.5 early Sept, still not heard anything.

A strange one but probably because the model is at the end of production is that SEAT put the 1.4 TSI 150 ps Alhambra through the WLTP.

Thanks for the link - great to see written confirmation. (Interesting also to see petrol engines identified as "Otto".)

My car has reached Sheerness, but Skoda Customer Services say that, because they subcontract UK transportation to independent companies, they have *no* idea how long it will remain there for!
