@Alexleevrs94 - Were the cam followers, hydraulic tappets and engine oil all changed with the new camshaft? Was the engine spun on the starter to refill the head galleries and tappets before it was first fired up?

Was all new buddy apart from the rocker arms got the full cam sharft kit and yes mate

Did you 'bed-in' the new cam or just drive it right away?

Was bed in mate left car running after till it was up to temp mate

It may be the camshaft Lash, if it was not reset, check out this thread -LINK

Link's broken, I'm thinking you mean injector lash which really should have been reset after the new cam was installed.

Quite correct, Injector Lash - Link https://www.briskoda.net/forums/messenger/215744/?tab=comments#comment-672326

As with my cylinder head, when it was rebuilt, they knew nothing about how to set up the Injector Lash, neither did I until I spent ages searching to see what was causing the problem - What a major difference it made after I had set it all up, both for performance and MPG.

Hi lads the links are not working :( how do I adjust them is it something I can do or?

you looked at the camshaft for signs of wear? There might be another reason to why it's worn again.

Hi bud it’s made the ticking/tapping noise ever since I’ve fitted my turbo buddy but the turbo isn’t leaking as had to have it of to change cold side round

I’ve had a look at the guide seems straight forward gonna have a go at it will it stop this tapping/ticking noise when I rev the car

No idea, but it's a good place to start.

Yes mate how come the cambelt cover at the top has to come off anyway?

A manifold leak can cause a tapping noise

Yes I don’t know much about cams and that that’s why I asked as I can’t work out why it has to come of as you turn engine over on bottom pulley

How are you going to take the cam cover off to adjust the PD rockers for injector lash if you don't remove the top belt cover?

I’ve done it lads and still ticking but it’s only doing it when it starts getting hot nothing when cold I’ve just fitted a hybrid turbo and it’s not leaking from the manifold as I’ve had new gaskets and checked it all
