Hi there i purchace a authentic  rear view camera from an online store , we install it in my Local Skoda dealer workshop , but in order to enabled it we need the VCDS.

i found from another workshop the VCDS a 18' one. but we lost it . we cant find the correct bit to enable the rear view low line camera.

all i got from the camera dealer is this

 

5F - Information Electr.

2.Find

byte no. 19

3.Mark

byte no. 4

4, open block 10 pdc

find byte 2

 

this is not good explanation if you never used the VCDS...

we found the 5F  Infr ormation Electr.  ater that we entered into the long coding , then we lost it 

So the question is , if there is anyone here familiar with the VCDS prog...

Where are you based?

 

A Skoda main dealer wasn't able to code in the rear camera using their own VAG software? They had to rely on a third party option (Ross-Tech VCDS)?

I am in Greece

Unbelievable ahh!  My main dealer used the ODIS program. They could not make it work. I tryied also but nothing. Propably they don't know how it works, or is not capable for that kind of things I do not know

 

But in Ross-Tech VCDS I made the rear camera enabled in just 40secons,  in VCDS I could even made the mirrors automatically tilt down on reverse if I wanted. Is fantastic program

Do you know if it's possible to activate the following features on my 2018 Karoq? I like the idea of the mirrors tilting down in reverse too!

 

1. Audible Beeps when Unlocking/Locking the car together with Indicators & Lights Flashing on Lock/Unlock.

2. Speedometer & Tachometer guages to “Needle Sweep” (aka Guage Sweep - needles sweep round then back on engine startup).

Exterior mirror tilting in reverse could be programmed in by default, but you need to keep the mirror setting switch in the L or R position, depending which one you want to tilt.

Thanks agedbriar, it already dips down the left mirror if I have the setting switch to "L" so maybe I don't need to fiddle with it in the software.

when you say setting switch , you mean the knob on the drivers door handle? the joystic?

Yes, the circular knob atop the driver's door handle

So i want my right mirror to tilt when i reverse automatically. how can i programm it ? , now doesnt move at all when i reverse of course, only if i manually move it down wth the knob-joystic

If you have a UK Edition Karoq (like me) then the left mirror tilts down when the round selector knob is at the "L" position. I haven't tried it on the right mirror.

I tried that yesterday and didn't work for me. Is there some set up to do?

This works with my Karoq "Edition" spec when I select reverse gear and turn the mirror's round selector knob to the "L" position, so maybe this feature is not present on your "SE L" specced model. But maybe it can be activated in the software?

Wait, I think it doesn't matter if its se or not, 

Do you have memory seats?? 

I will see if I can unlock it with carista software

Drivers side electric seat, not passenger.

Driver seat is enough , yea ,

the Mirror tilting is enabled by default for electric memory seat only,

so with a third party software only this feature can be enabled to the non electric seats version (hopefully)

Ok I don't have electric seat so unless I get 3rd party software i guess it is not an option.
