Tailgate handle removal

Featured Replies

Hi Guys!

I'm about to remove my tailgate boot handle on my Mk3 Fabia, and replace it with a handle with a build in camera.

I have to admit, i can't figure out how to remove the electrical handle.

It seems as if it is installed with the metal clips, which have to be "activated" in order to "pop out" the handle.

However i can't find a way to activate it and pop it out - are there another way of doing this, or do you have any kind of "guide" / "step by step description"?

I hope that some of you clever people have the right way to do this, so i can get the car finished :-)

Best regards !

The metal clip is just a spring keeping it in place. You just need to push it sideways against the metal clip side and the other side will pop out.

Is there already wires for the camera?

Do you just have to switch the handle and activate the camera with vcds? :)

Unfortunately, no :-(

i have an “Adaptiv Multimedia” interface installed, which offers navigation, hdmi and some other stuff, and of course rear View camera input - everything shown nicely on the OE bolero radio :-)

Ahh okey, thank you for the answer. :)
