Hello people.

Can someone help with location of the Outside air temp sensor on 6Y 2005 Fabia1.4 16V?

Under the front bumper...

Thanks TMB.

I will check it out today and see if the connection is still in place as we had to remove the front bumper to remove the radiator/condenser assembly for a thorough flush some days back.

Hi TMB.

I found a pair of twisted cables without a connector dangling below the radiator not far from under the Aircon/coolant control unit but the attached sensor has fallen out with no idea what it looks like,

I looped the pair of cabke and got a signal short to ground error in VAG diagnostics so I am sure this is the cable for the outside air temperature.

Yes it is, you just need a new sensor and connector, clumsy reassembly after the rad repair.

Half an hour for you on the naughty step!

@sepulchrave, @LB123 thanks for your support and encouragement.

I will try getting 1 or more of these sensors from salvaged item sellers as I cannot get the new units to buy here in Lagos for Skoda sensors.

I also noticed the same sensor was gone from another Fabia that we have. Those sensors are endangered parts considering their location and I am considering relocating them to a safer place well above the front bumper where they will just as well pickup the true outside air temperature.
