Dash Replacement

Featured Replies

I have recently noticed a 'Bubble' in the dash (where the binnacle joins the dash) and the Dealership has advised me that it is a fault in manufacture and has to be replaced (the whole dash) under warranty.

This seems pretty radical to me and I can't help feeling that the dash will never be the same as when it was fitted in the factory (as in creaks and squeaks after removal).

Your thoughts please. :)

If the bubble doesnt bother you, dont have it changed.

If you do have it changed make sure you take it back every time it creaks.

does the bubble bother you?

To be perfectly honest, No.

What does bother me is the fact that the car is spanking new and that it may affect the resale in future.

Depends when you plan to sell it - if you're going to keep it for 60k miles and 5 years then it will have little impact on the value. Even after 3 yrs and 20000 miles I doubt it would - especially as p/x on another car.

Polish the car up, giive the inside a full valet and no one will ever notice.

Good sound advice. I have now returned to Earth with a little persuasion. Cheers. :)

2months time and you wont even notice it's there ;)

Superted has had a dash replaced without any problems and I have taken the dash out of mine without any problems too. If you search you may find the pics :P
