Heater temp

Featured Replies

Hi all

Noticed the past few days my car’s warm air is only present once the climate control is set at 26.5degrees.

No difference between 16-26 degrees in terms of warmth output. Car has warmed up in terms of oil and mileage ie after 15miles it’s still cold. Ambient temp by me at present hasnt dipped past 14d so it’s not exactly Baltic outside to impact car.

Got about two weeks left of warranty so it’s going to Skoda next week hopefully.

Any suggestions as to what it could be?

Is this when the system is set to manual or in Auto?

In automatic I find that most of the air is released to the screen & floor so that you dont feel the air blowing from the front vents onto you.

As above.  Is the system set to automatic?

I usualy have my climatronic set on 19 or 20°C in my Mk3 and it works unobtrusively.

Iirc the manual for my Mk 2 , also with climatronic, recommended 22°C as a default.

But if you still feel cold, when the temperature is set to say 22°C, then something is wrong.

By standard setting do you mean Auto  & dual, or something else?

Not on auto, it’s dual zone both synced

auto + sync + 22C is generally a good starting point. If no auto, then fan will be doing whatever it was that you set it to.  If that's 1 bar and to the floor, then that's it.

Try it on auto and see what happens.

Nah, I never use auto as I like to have a direction on the airflow, mostly it’s set to the “front” as in the one above sat nav.

Booked it in anyway last night, still no temperature change as in there is a negligible change from 24-16degrees.
