Columbus Screen gone off

Featured Replies

So something strange happened. HU working all fine. Went out of car and left wifey in car. I locked it....alarm went off which I deactivated with key. When I came back and started car, Columbus was working as normal except the screen was off. All buttons work, powers on and off, but the screen just doesn't show anything. Even after switching the car on and off.

Mine did this. Have u tried reseting device? Hold power button down for few seconds till it reboots?

Nope, that's a new one for me. I'll have a play. Did that work for you?

I didnt realise this procedure so disconnected battery to reset it lol, this worked but i had like 11 faults on logged afterwards lol. Managed to clear a few and once i drove down my road they all cleared which i also found out after on here that they do clear with a drive.

Ok, power button it is!! Thanks. I'll let you know how I get on.

Yep, press and long hold i believe and you should get skoda symbol back on. If this doesnt work, trip to dealers

Same thing happened me before.  Reset worked.  Had it checked at dealer afterwards and no obvious issues found.

I guess it is a computer of sorts and glicthes/crashes happen.  We dont think twice when our laptops/pcs crash... Straight away we reset it and carry on lol
