Skoda Octavia mis firing after cylinder head reconditioned.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I had my Cam belt changed recently then a few weeks later it broke down after horrendous engine noise and loss of power then the car conked out. Turns out a bolt was lose on the kit which slackened the belt and knackered the head!! Paid 1000 to get it reconditioned, now the car is missing . Garage have traced a problem with a injector so replaced it but car was then even worse and smoking like mad! So put the old one back in and it’s missing again. They’ve replaced the loom today and car won’t start at all now. They have decided it’s now a computer fault? Can anyone shed any light on this please? Thank you ☺️

Welcome.

Post maybe better in the Octavia section for whichever you have.

Well, that's either not fit for purpose or faulty workmanship (UK law applied). Either way, the installing garage are responsible for the fault and subsequent damage.
