A noisy bearing may not necessarily exhibit any play especially in the early stages, a diligent tester could hear/feel the rumble when spinning an undriven wheel by hand but many seem to ignore that part of the test if no play detected, very little chance of detecting it on a driven wheel like yours.

Skoda wheel bearings especially the gen2 type fitted to the fabia are crap, or maybe they are being fitted badly by the supplier of the hub assembly.

 

Just had one go at 50k, usually had them go at 80k.
