Airbag fault

Featured Replies

I have a airbag fault light on the dash. I've tried reconnecting the yellow airbag harness under the seat and clear codes. The fault comes back. I tried to trace the cable but I goes to the side of the seat and into the seat its self.

Does anyone know where the crash sensor is located I need to take the cable out to check it.

The fault came after moving the seat. Cable must have got snagged in the motor

Airbag faults have to be reset with diagnostics like VCDS. Unplugging and reconnecting things won't make it go away.

I have a obdeleven which is capable of clearing codes and coding.

I'm aware that reconnecting the plug will not fix the problem. It was my first thought and I want to get the cable to check for damage. I think the cable goes to the door. I'm going to check there.

Ok. I'd start with a scan of the airbag controller and see what it's reporting. There are too many ways to make costly and/or painful mistakes with the SRS to go randomly poking at stuff.

Which exact error do you get by using obdeleven regarding the airbag control module?
