Blackline bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi sorry to bring up an old topic or thread but was after some help on where to get a blackline bluetooth kit from I've seen some of the cheap Chinese ones but have read that these should be avoided. Has anyone used these and is this the case. I've been able to find the genuine microphone just have issues with the loom. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Spoke to eddienl to get a loom made as couldn't find one other than the Chinese ones. Mic 3B0 035 711B from factory retrofits. Any one local that has vcds can activate bluetooth function or you can use obdeleven to do it yourself if you have it Screenshot_20181103-115900_OBDeleven.thumb.jpg.89bd61267265db219c5d79b355947746.jpg

OK, so all the Blackline owners out there who want to enable Bluetooth and install the microphone here’s how to do it.

  1. Enable the BT using VCDS, here’s the link how to do it:-

  1. Order the microphone from Carsystems

  1. Ensure that ignition key is removed
  2. Start to remove head unit surround using trim tool.

  1. Remove the four T20 screws from the head unit

  1. Pull the head unit forward carefully and remove the quadlock using the latch and remove the aerials, there is a clear tag that pulls forward and is pressed down to release the three leads.

  1. Remove the passenger side panel using a trim tool (same setup as fuse cover).

  1. Remove the five T20 screws from the glove box, remove the aircon pipe and light connector.

  1. Remove the A pillar cover using a trim tool, quite easy to pull off.

  1. Remove the interior light by removing the lense with a trim tool and remove the two Phillips screws (one either side of the main light bulb). Remove the foam insert and insert the microphone (should not be connected to the loom at this point). The mic is keyed.

  1. Insert the green connector until the barb secures it.

  1. Run the loom (up to you how you do this) behind the glove box and up the A pillar (lots of option how to do this). You need to get the connector all the way to the hole where the interior light was (the loom can be easily squeezed into the roof ling and out the hole).

  1. Connect the loom and mic together and clip the connector into place (I used a bit of the fabric cloth tape I took off the loom to insulate the connector as a bit of screening was exposed)

  1. Refit everything back in reverse and there you go one BT mic installation.

Rather than posting a list of VCDS users that will become out of date, you might want to remove that post and just link to the appropriate threads in the VCDS section.

I haven't yet come across those threads but when I do I will add them, just trying to put as much info in one place.  unless you know where there are to do so. Thanks for your input

Your last post was a direct quote from one of them ;-)

I just installed a parrot 9200 in my blackline as was told by Skoda dealer my head unit had a Mac code I could add a module and mic but quoted £300

it was advertised new with Bluetooth but for some reason disabled at factory new ?

get parrot 3rd of price second hand and if it breaks easier to just replace
