Hello guys, I hope you can help me out with this. I recently sorted one of my greatest annoying sounds - sunroof rattle and squeaky noise on turning and twisting of the car. Now there is one more noise i can't seem to locate and fix. I can hear it mainly when there is a small tiny uneveness or bump on the road and it's only on the right side of the interior, sounds like a tap between the dash and some sort of plastic or glass. Tried pressing towards almost every single part there, but still no success. Has anyone else had this issue? Any advice?

Check if the seat height adjuster rattles against the seat frame: 

 

If so, put some wiring loom tape on the frame and problem solved.

Have you got a pair of sunglasses in the storage box in the roof?

 

Mine do it, and I couldn’t pinpoint it for a while!

I don't have a storage box there, but still, that's not the case, it seems like the noise is located in the right, near the pillar

I have the same noise on my car (2014 vRS).

I've not been able to locate the source of the noise after 4 years despite several journeys sat in the passenger seat looking for it.

I asked the dealer if they knew of any common issues but they said they didnt know what it could be without taking off the trim to investigate (which I didnt want them to do).

 

My bet would be the parking ticket holder tapping on the windscreen!? More prevalent if the windscreen has been replaced.

Unfortunately, that is not the case...

Parking ticket is located on the left and the noise is coming from the right side. And no, it hasn't been replaced.
