noticed a drop in top end power recently (standard fabia vrs 22000 miles). My only local contact with a vrs reckons he was advised to change the air filter. The air filter change interval is apparently 40000 miles. This seems a lot for a paper air filter. Mine was full of dust and dead flies but vacing these out didn't make any noticeable difference. Should I fit a new filter?

Get a green panel filter at £30 and free up the rev range a little & lasts for the life of the car.
