Child Locks

Featured Replies

I apologise if this is a stupid question. I have just purchased a 2015 Skoda Superb. Lovely car but I cannot work out the rear door locking issue?

The fob unlocks all doors, fine. But passengers in the back cannot open the doors when the vehicle stops. I have tried the unlock below the gear stick...nothing. I get out and one side I can open while the other door I cannot? It's driving me mad. I have seen the manual but I cannot see what options I need to do to resolve this?

All I want is when the vehicle is stopped i can press the unlock button under the gear stick and all doors are released. How can I do this?

Sounds like you have a Superb 3: Superb 2 has the unlock button on the driver's door.

Either way, the child lock is set/unset by turning the key in a keyhole along the edge of the door near the lock.

@Tony1520 - Is the child lock button pressed in (activated) on your driver's door? The last button, below all 4 window buttons?

It's the doors they can't open, not the windows.

I went to re-read the current Superb's manual, seems they still didn't implement the door locking that way (memory from my previous car where that had been the case) ... then something in the instrument panel settings regarding door opening, or maybe the rear doors are child-locked:
