I am about to buy a yeti 4*4. What to choose?

Non WLTP Approved Euro 6 cars (NEDC tested) could only be first registered after September 2018 if built before the 1st June 2018 and then under 'Derogation Rules'.

End of line and no more than 10% of those First Registered in 2017 or was that manufactured in 2017 ???   Some were at it!

From that statement (if I understand it correctly) that as Euro 6 Yetis were built from May 2015 onwards, that they were brought out before they had to?

The dates below are the implementation date for new vehicle type approvals. The dates in brackets are the implementation date for all new vehicle registrations, normally one year later, so a car registered between the two dates may meet the corresponding emissions standard and a car registered after the date in brackets will meet it.  (my emphasis)

The dates in question for Euro 6 are September 2014  and September 2015.

Euro 6 passenger vehicle APPROVALS from Sept 2014, but REGISTRATIONS from Sept 2015.

Nope, see above.  And I would repeat the observation about the Yeti (not Octavia) brochure:

  • Feb 2015 edition listed the 140PS and said it was Euro 5 compliant - the 150PS was not listed;
  • May 2016 edition listed the 150PS and said it was Euro 6 compliant - the 140PS was not listed.

Which is what the OP asked at 17:03 on Monday.  If he buys a Yeti with the 150PS engine it'll be (a) Euro 6 compliant, and (b) not affected by dieselgate.
