vRS 245 - Any problems?

Featured Replies

Hello to all,

I bought a new vRS 245 in March and within two months the engine was changed because of a problem with the first cylinder.  Since the engine change I've experienced problems with theDSG gears that the retailer is unable to replicate.  When I need to brake it feels as though the engine is competing with my braking - it is as though the gears are being held on to for too long and should be changing down earlier.  Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?  Or can anyone offer any advice about what to tell the retailer?

Thanks for your time in reading this.

The DQ380 doesn't create a lot of engine braking unless you use the paddles changing down at about 3k revs

Welcome.

If the Master Tech at the dealership that did the engine transplant can not find issues after driving the car for a few days but you know there is an issue then arrange with Skoda UK for them to have some other trained and qualified technician / engineer investigate / diagnose the issue.

Maybe Skoda UK can arrange another 245vRS for you to drive to compare with yours, if the Dealership can not arrange that.

Do not get landed with a lemon.  Your Manufacturers Warranty is with Skoda UK.
