Bluetooth issue update

Featured Replies

I seem to be having similar issues when I get into the car it tells me to turn on the Bluetooth, but the Bluetooth option on the entertainment screen is greyed out so I can't turn it on, the car is only 3 months old and and everything had been fine until this past week, nothing has changed that I'm aware of on either the phone or the car settings, any suggestions before I go to the dealer.

Don’t hold your breath with the compensation I returned my car Skoda uk just come up with obscure answers  you need to ask for a senior customer service manager ,we are still waiting for the car to be collected,Skoda uk Will waffle and state wrong facts  blah blah. Have found that if I restart phone (Moto G5) it will reconnect to the car, but it will then randomly change the connected device from BT**** (* can't remember the four digit number) to UGZZF_X1A1A and l loose phone connection, does the fact that restarting the phone allows reconnection mean the fault is on the phone?

Searching Google UGZZF is Bluetooth module, I'm not keen on giving the car to garage to investigate an intermittent fault but........

Have you tried a phone factory reset

Cheers Tasape,

Did as suggested, car/phone worked fine for 24 hours for numerous stop/start due to short journeys, but think this success was possibly due to car/infotainment bring off overnight.

When I started car first thing following day above I noticed that one of my phone screen contacts in infotainment screen had been replaced by an SOS button (think this happened on previous events too) but the phone was still working as normal, however when I restarted the car after a stop the Bluetooth was again unavailable, I tried resetting the phone sitting in the car with the engine running but the cars Bluetooth feature did not respond so I sumised the fault is with the car, l then, still with engine running reset infotainment by holding the on/off button for 10 secs, the Bluetooth restarted and the SOS icon had disappeared (for now)!

I bought the car new, but to avoid the lengthy supply delay I picked the car from another dealers stock based on vehicle having ACC and didn't even know my car had an SOS feature as it does not have the roof mounted button.

I have to agree it looks like the car is at fault ,we do short journeys with stop start and the phone reconnects each time

just a FYI. If it  does it again before it goes for repair, go to settings and switch airplane mode on for 10 secs then switch it off that usually assists the reconnection .
