Boot Matt

Featured Replies

Any one got any recommendations on a decent but not overpriced boot liner for the Octavia Hatch?

I got mine from eBay a couple of years ago but the seller's gone now. It cost me £15.49 and it's been great, fitted perfectly and it's very durable. It's got sides that are quite high so it's very protective. So the bottom line is, you don't need to pay massive money for one. Ditto mats, which cost me less than £15 and have been fine, also from FleaBay.

I bought this one:

Not the cheapest option, but fits like a glove and feels well made.

+1 for this one, but I got mine from superskoda for €38 ;)

I've got the OEM Octavia one and it's fantastic. Worth the money even if not cheap.

Hi all I have the mk3 estate and wouldn't mind one that fits right up to the back of the front seats when the rear are folded down. Anyone bought one? Ta.

You can get one off Ebay for £33. Carbodydesign_eu is the seller.

Thanks wanderer, I've tried an advanced search but it's not shown anyone by that name. I'll take a bit of time and go through items for sale.

Try searching for "Tailored Rubber Boot Liner Skoda" on Ebay, minus the quotes.

Try doing a doing seller search "carbodydesign_eu" and enter the the above.

I got an eBay special for £14.. turned out to be a plastic rather than rubber liner.. however it did fit but required me to cutout the slot so it fitted over the rear luggage hooks in the floor nearest the back of the car. Its doing the job and I can still use the OE nets I got with it just fine.

Pro Line rubber mats from Poland are the best. Proper rubber, perfect fit and better than Skoda. You get them on eBay for £30 and take about 5 days to arrive.

Have you got a link to that please.

I've got the oem rubber boot liner and door mats supplied from superskoda. All together they are actually quite heavy, reckon they must reduce my economy by a few fractions of a percent!

My old cars have had cheap ebay liners which are plasticy but they did the job well, no complaints.

+1 for the OEM rubber boot liner.

Is a liftback the hatchback or the Combi?

Hatchback

Thanks to all that answered.  I think I need to think again about what I need . What I'm after is a protective cover for the inside of my mk3 octavia estate that will protect the car from the bumper to the back of the front seats when the rear are folded down as well as allowing ' side protection'  as my cars are often filled with wet and muddy kit.

My car came with the Protection Pack - never thought I'd use rubber floor mats but they're excellent ( hence the velour mats are still brand new). As for boot mat, I think it's great - perhaps a little to heavy but I guess one benefit is it reduces noise from the rear suspension.

However my Seat didn't come with such luxuries, so I use this.   A heavy duty sheet costs around £4 and actually does a better job than the OEM rubber mat because as you say, it also protects the sides, it's light and flexible. (If you want, add a few strips of velcro to secure down.)  I also use it in the Octavia when the rear seats are down to protect the cabin.

Thanks scot I've done something similar for the time being, just wondered if there was a 'made to measure ' version available.
