im having a bit ov a problem with my fabia vrs.  When going down from 6 to 5 gear it wont go in.  As its hiting something but selects 4-to 5th pirfect.  Enybody had a similar thing and found the problem.

Worn synchro ring, gearbox needs reconditioning.

Try double de-clutching to confirm.

Already tried double clutching. Its as it hits a brick wall.  No whining or enything in eny gear

In that case try resetting the gear linkage, do a search, it's been covered a thousand times before.
