Rear mud flaps needed when towing caravan?

Not towed yet with the snowmonster but with the small overhang after the rear wheels it looks like the wheels could throw a lot of muck on the caravan?

Any need for rear mud flaps when towing? How easy are they to fit?

I towed and found the mudflaps front and rear the best money I had spent,

pounding the motorways the caravan looked better than many of the others

without flaps what with the spray and everything.

I did talk to a chap that extended the bottom edge of his flaps with stainless

steel cut from old fridge panels.

That's just reminded me. You will not reduce the general spray much as it's the turbulence created by the back end of the car. One year driving back through northern France the rain was "heavy" and the spray so bad I lost site of the caravan attached to the car.
