Think I’ve killed it

Featured Replies

So here’s the full story, my mk1 vrs needed new cam and lifters so replaced camshaft , lifters , all bolts cambelt water pump everything , then while it was apart replaced inj seals and bolts ever since doing seals oil level keeps coming up and oil is contaminated with fuel. So bought another set of seals and redid them. But while I had injectors out I noticed some grooves in the inj tubes where fuel o rings seal. Replaced seals anyway hoping it would cure problem but no joy. Guess I’m looking for replacement head or complete engine as mines now on 174000 miles. Any ideas guys

Saw no replies. Strange one this. Did you ever sort it. When rebuilding do some stupid things myself but usually work it out. Cant see how replacing the seals would cause this problem.
