Hi,

I am looking to purchase a Superb SL.

The spec shows the car having exterior mirrors which are auto folding.

Because of the limited width of my garage doors I would need to fold these before driving into the garage.

I have looked at the online owner’s manual but its unclear if this can be done.

They appear only fold when the engine is turned off.

Can anyone please advise me

The joystick/knob on the drivers door which you use to set the mirrors has a position for folding in (also a position for heating them). I fold mine in this way when reversing into garage so passenger side is right up against the side wall. 

As @Ivan8192 mentioned above, u can fold them anytime by turning to the fold position.

 

Don't have to turn off the car for it to fold in.

Ditto the above.  I, too, need to fold mine in to get into and out of the garage (although at odd angles can get in and, sometimes, out without folding - don't ask how - I have no idea...MAGIC!).
