No honour for the first brit

Featured Replies

No honour for the first Brit to win 5 world F1 championships but well done to some who have won something, well almost!

I'm pretty sure his turn will come.

Its not about winning and not everyone can be honoured every year.

I think honours should be given to people who through their efforts others really benefit. I don't include people who only benefit themselves. The plethora of these honours scattered around have devalued their worth to those who are worthy recipients.

When I see some of those honoured in comparison it beggars belief!

..apart from the fact that he is already MBE? Along with Jenson Button.

Maybe something else will come in later life.

Just like:

Our Nigel who was OBE, now promoted to CBE (2012) for charity work.

Sir Stirling was 71 when he was knighted, having long held an OBE,

Sir Jackie was 32 on receiving an OBE, later knighted at 62
