Help needed regarding buying a skoda octavia 1.9 tdi

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas and wish you all a happy and prosperous new year as well.

As the title says, I have seen an octavia on eBay that doesn't start.

It is located in Middlewich near Cheshire.

I was wondering if anybody with a vag diagnostics lives nearby who could kindly find out for me what's actually the issue. Obviously, I would pay them for their time - if it was closer to me, I would have gone myself.

The car looks clean and I m desperate for one as my fabia bohemia got written off 2 weeks ago. Massive accident on m25 but thankfully I am ok.

This is the car by the way on eBay -

and for people with eBay app on their device- item number is

Many thanks in advance

Anyone at all???

@Arshwesh

Quiet time of the year, in a quiet section of the forum tbh.

If you have a look or post in the vcds section, youll get a quicker response.

Vcds is no guarantee of showing the non starting cause though, it mightnt show as a fault..
