Skoda Superb - USA BLINKERS

Featured Replies

Hello everybody,

I am trying to figure out one thing.

I have VCDS coded a few cars until now, but the only thing i cannot find in my MK 2 Superb, is how to set the blinkers to stay at a certain percentage lit on ?

Only for the headlights.

I'm not sure it's possible with VCDS.

You might need VCP or ODIS-e to directly edit the BCM EEPROM.

Skoda engineers probably saw all the chavy VW Golf's with them set, and removed the coding on the Superb.

@silver1011 - They are all haters i guess :D.

Haha I quite like it actually... #chavatheart B)

Given that Skoda are not present in the US market it's likely that functionality was removed/disabled in the BCM. I imagine it could be quite confusing for other road users in the EU too.

As there are many cars with this feature in Europe, in dont believe it is quite confusing. But, it is really up to a aesthetic pov. Lighting them up to a 20% i dont believe it is disturbing at all.

i reckon the people that do this have probably replaced every amber bulb with clear/smoked/whatever is in vogue with 'F****n Dubbers' , flyeye'd lamps and then lit up the light as above

I'm thinking... dodgy wiring earth :D

I don't understand this post, are there some new words in use?

Dubbers?

Flyeyed?

Dubbers is probably a reference to veedubs which is slang for VW.

Flyeye is a mesh to tint/darken lenses :-)

Thank you, I'll get my coat..:D

If anyone gets this working, please let me know - I think it would be worth a look on my superb B)

As I mentioned above, you need VCP or ODIS-e. If you can find someone local with the right tools, the rest is easy...

Righto thanks - ermmm where would I even start looking ?!

Well, i believe sourcing the tools and learning hexa. Or, a colleague with strong coding skills in vag can pro to edit the eeprom.

i am a few countries away, so...

I didn't realise that was also for VCP owners :notme:

Is there any clarity on the legalities of it, in terms of MOT in the UK?

Looks like you can do it with this setup, look down in the diagnostic abilities section.
