You have to declare how much fuel you have put in the car 2 hours before the start of the race so that the stewards can calculate the total weight of the package including known driver weights plus easy to work out fuel weight from litres in fuel tank. So Ferrari put an extra 5kg or approx 5 litres into LeClerc's car after they gave the FIA the wrong figure. Genuine mistake using Diane Abbotts calculator or blatant cheating, you decide. Hamilton's comment regarding Ferrari wanting him to join them in the 2021 season was amusing stating that is the first compliment Ferrari have made him in the last 13 years in F1. Also recent blatant racist front page in an Italian newspaper may make him think twice after seeing Lakaku and Smalling targeted due to their skin colour which was despicable in anyones book.

Sir Jackie didn't get a knighthood for Motor Racing alone. He got it for a lifetime of charity work at the age of 61. Sir Jack likewise was pushing 60 when he got knighted. Sir Stirling was about 70.

Yes, but why should anyone get "an honour" for turning up and doing their job?

well that's  what 90% of them are awarded for usually

So did the others listed above. None got knighted for being a racing driver, but they did get various MBE OBE CBE awards, just like Jenson and Lewis have been recognised already in that way.

When alls said and done it's an elitist  minority sport for rich people. To get a knighthood even in this country's most popular sports is near impossible - you pretty much have to manage or captain a World Cup winning team, or have an outrageously successful Olympic career, and that doesn't happen often to Brits.
