Octavia Mk3 - Sept 2014

 

I've started getting a loud alarm from the back of the car after breaking and if driving slowly - sounds like i'm about to reverse into someone and it'ts real close. The parking sensor button by the gearstick also flashes. With the car parked pressing the parking sensor button shows a diagram of the car with exclamation mark by the front bumper.

I borrowed a laptop with an old copy of VCDS on it and ran a full scan, it shows

Any idea what the fault code might be (and likely apx cost to fix)

 

The airbag one I'm not ever so bothered - a dozy twit decided to overtake everyone on a roundabout then - being on the right of me when her exit came up - tried to drive through my car to make the turning (my dashcam including sound recording from satnav disproved her story that I made an unexpected manoeuvre)

...  the VAG approved repairer drove the car in the workshop without the door fitted.

All the parking sensors are ticking quietly.

16401 - Crankshaft / Camshaft Position Correlation Sensor B Bank-1

1111812 - Front Left Parking Aid Sensor

Can you buy parking sensors pre-painted?

 

 

Lol absolutely no idea but the 16401 code is shown on other scans within the abs controller.

Ive now got the sensors and am seeking the opportunity to fit (or get them fitted). 

Interestingly the fault comes and goes - seems strange that two sensors are faulty or none?

Anyone got views?
