Octavia Shocks

Featured Replies

One of my front shocks on my Octy vRS is starting to leak oil, and needs replacing soon. Can I just get the one? Or will I have to change both of the front ones?

If so, does anybody have a price for them?

And before anyone suggests, I don't want to change the suspension to coilovers etc etc just yet.

Thanks!

If it was under warranty i suspect they would just change the one.... Myself i would change both, however if the shock has only light misting on it then i wouldn`t worry to much

By the way Monroe do a nice replacement called the reflex, straight OE replacement

Hmmmmmmmmmm

OK... after a bit of pursuasion, think I might have to get a suspension kit. I DONT want coilovers, as I'll be happy with one height + comfort level . So... which one to get? Can anyone recommend a suspension kit and where to get it from?

Standard shocks with Eibach springs, tightens up the handling, drops it 25mm, and makes a difference, then add the Neuspeed 28mm adjustable ARB.

unmatched springs and dampers?tried it once, killed the dampers i'd go matched springs and dampers(IMHO)

problem is his shocks are shot... so needs a full solution..

I think that the OEM shocks for sports suspension are around £120 a pair from a dealer.

Yeah, thats what I've been quoted by Skoda (£120). So I'm not sure whether to stick with the original shocks. Or get a sports suspension kit. I think the standard suspension is perfectly fine for my style of driving at the moment, so I'm thinking of just getting the original shocks.

That is the full solution. New standard shocks

 I agree.... Its the route i`m thinking of taking now that my neuspeed front ' date=' Eiback rear roll bars have been done.

Have a word with a very well know techie on here. He did mine and will give an honest opinion, especially with the Neuspeed 28mm rear adjustable ARB.

We open the caravan at Cosgrove on the first of April, so up every week end if you want to try it out.

"ER" indoors can be set loose in Bicester Village........What have I just said????
