Hi, looking for a mk1 VRS to buy, but I can't seem to find a model with a sunroof. 

 

Was the VRS fitted with a sunroof or was that only from the mk2 on?

Pretty sure it could specced as an optional extra, as to cost i dont know, but its likely not an option many got.

Allow for that and the various scrappage schemes and costly repair bills facing owners that have killed many mk1s over the years.. finding one for sale in good nick with a sunroof... hens teeth.. :(

 

It was available as an option, but I don’t think many people chose it. Lots of Mk1s were sold from stock with no extras.

Yeah I'm from Ireland and my 2006 Mk1 has a sunroof bun unfortunately it broke. Finding it very hard to find a replacement.

Why you'd ever want to scrap a Mk1 vRS is beyond me. I guess some people just don't "get it" like we do.  Probably the same people who don't keep on top of regular maintenance. 

 

Before I bought my estate I did try and source one with a sunroof but to no avail. That adds a whole new level to the hens teeth factor!
