Hi all,

Don't know whats happened here!!

Might seen a daft question but can the central locking key fob be reprogrammed? The amount of times i've pressed once to open the car for myself, then remembered i needed to be in the boot, but that hasn't unlocked.

Or the when i walk to the car and want to put something on the back seat, press the button once. only opens the drivers door only. I swear, then press the button again, still only the drivers door!! swear again then press the unlock button twice in quick succession!

Please someone tell  me there's a way to change this, i want to press once to unlock all of the car's doors/boot.

Hope that makes sense

Thanks

From mid 2015 models on the Head unit there is a CAR menu. In there SETTINGS allows changes to the central locking setup.

Older Rapids can have the same changes custom made with Carista OBDeleven or VCDS.

Correcting the exact same locking issue alone on my 2014 made Carista worth the money for me.

Thanks, I'll look into that.

Mines a 65plt but the older 105bhp one, and i can't find setting in the car menus

Yeah the 105 is pre facelift stock. You'll have to go the aftermarket route. Or if the car happens to be in for a service ask the dealer to do it.

I used Carista on my 105. It did have a one month free trial so you could do all the mods free, such as reconfiguring locks wipers lights dashboard ( big digital MPH, dial staging) alarm beeps etc. Well worth it - a good App and very simple to use.

+1 for Carista, I paid £15 for the app plus about £10 for the BT dongle and it's worth every penny.
