Just got offered a dragon tuning box for

i have one set to max setting. fantastic!! easy to fit and remove. no fault codes after 6 months of running. lots more power. initially more smoke but calmed down after a few weeks running. get 0-60 times of around 7.5 - 8 secs. 30-50 in third 3.2 and 50-70 in fourth 4.2. Reachs 30-70 in 5.4 seconds. may not be as good as a remap but does not mess with the boost pressures etc and the figures and not far of a standard remap. Im sure you will enjoy it loads if you buy it. possible to get it cheaper if seen on ebay, but 250 is cheaper then on the web site. they do work and imo are good value for money.

E-mail www.mrhoot.com direct and ask them for their best price (which will be the price they sell for on eBay). Should be able to get it for around the

expensive for a tuning box but definately the best one you can get IMO. But anything more than £250 is getting into the realms of a proper remap which would give you even more power and drivability.

Someone's doing a group buy of tuning boxes over on uk-mkivs at the moment - not Dragon boxes but they're supposedly digital ones, and the description is pretty similar. Just over 150 quid inc.

Lots of brands to consider

well worth getting a drogon tuning box.... i took mine off 2 weeks ago (service) - and now.... YAWN! ITS SO SLOW! must put it back on tonight prior to w-s-m meet tomorrow.

cant have tigger flying past me, or these ONE CLICK chaps!

all generic remapped cars by respectable tuners will probably still go past you, just not as fast and anyone with a custom remap will still be a fair bit faster as previously proven.

only get a digital. not an analogue.

yeah, digital is definately better than analogue

They are very good, I wouldn't reccomend using the max setting though, and nor for that matter do Dragon themselves, I think there are 15 settings? but dragon reccomend no higher than 11 for the 130pd engine, and I can confirm that although bloody fast when on higher settings (had mine on 13), when driven normally (not foot to floor) they make the car hard work. I put it down to 11 and it's fantastic, still bloody fast, but drives perfect.

Dragon sell them on E-bay, I paid £190 for mine so keep an Eye on the auctions, full warranty etc.
