Haha shouldnt be lol

All that effort to cover the rusty hubs, yet your locking wheel nuts are exposed, and look to be corroding in front of my eyes :D

I noticed that though unlike the other nuts there is no plastic cover for it?

There is a slightly larger cap for the locking wheel nut (left one in the picture below), part numbers on the packing, but loads on eBay...

Don't be tempted by cheap chinese ones they are made of toffee and split the first time you try to fit them :(

Simple but gratifying fix for terrible looking hubs. Big wheel openings so nasty looking. Wheels off, sand off rust, clean, mask, spray.

I intend to do similar at some stage but will use cold zinc galvanizing spray, which is cheap, dead easy to apply, lasts longer than paint and is good to at least 400-500 deg C. (From past experience)

Noticed that not only is the locking nut cover missing but other covers are not fully pushed home, so could drop off. I guess this might be because the op has lost his plastic cover removal tool.

I don't see the need for high temperature paint for normal road use, never had an issue with just using Hammerite. There is a lot of steel to heat up between applications of the brakes not to mention a big wheel acting as a heatsink.

@£5.99 a can or so it does the job in a few jifs, or sprays of the nozzle.

Have you seen how hot a binding brake disk/pad can get? (By my scientific measurement, ferking hot!) Hammerite is only rated to 150 deg C max, no idea what happens above that.

True, but I try and keep my brakes in good order!

Thanks for that, Skoda dealer had no joy ordering a set for me so just ordered the above. I only need the locking nuts ones so hopefully they work.
